WKCO is officially back at 91.9!  We’ve purchased and installed the new equipment for the transmitter and now we’re up and running.  So be sure to tune in on your radios or online at wkco.kenyon.edu

For all of you that have tried to tune in at 91.9 FM to hear us, we apologize that, so far, our traditional broadcast has been down. It appears that sometime over the summer, something happened to the fiber-optic line connecting the studio to the transmitter in Peirce tower. We’re working with LBIS to figure out exactly what the problem is & to get it fixed as quickly as possible. Hopefully sometime early next week we can get the broadcast up again! In the meantime, you can tune in to our online broadcast right here, available anywhere in the world. Questions? Shoot us an email.

Hello Loyal Listeners!

WKCO is quite proud to announce that our Fall broadcast season has officially began. Check out our schedule — it should be up-to-date, & then tune in to our world-wide internet stream! As of now, I’m sad to say, our transmitter is down for maintenance. We’ll let you know, though, as soon as it’s back up and running & you can tune in from your radios & your computers.

On a related note, there are still open times in our schedule, so FACULTY, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, & STUDENTS, if one of those open times looks good to you, shoot us an email & hopefully we can get you on air.

Administrator’s NOTE: if you are DJ(!) with a show this semester, please send the title of your show to to get added to the schedule. Furthermore, the Stream link has been fixed to perfection. It’s at the top of every page.

WKCO will hold its fall semester DJ meeting on Thursday, Sept. 3rd in Philo Hall (Asc. 220). All returning DJs and anyone who has completed the interning process is invited to attend & sign up for a show. Please bring $10 per show in dues money & your complete weekly availability for Fall ‘09.

Well, classes at Kenyon College start back up in twenty-one days, & so those of us at WKCO are busy mournfully contemplating the end of the summer. But, to paraphrase Peter Parker’s uncle, with great sacrifice comes great reward. In any case, the end of the summer & the beginning of classes also means the start of our fall broadcast season. SO!, if any of you out there are actually reading (’the blog you can’t read’), start thinking about what sort of show you want to be doing, & with whom, because that fall meeting is coming up quickly. In other news, the WKCO staff will be heading back to campus on the 22nd to clean & prepare our station. So if you’re around & looking for something to do, please shoot us an email and/or come on by & lend us a hand.
